Not getting the results you want from your fitness program? You may be putting in the necessary time and effort, but are focused on exercises and movements that are not very good at getting you to your strength, fat loss and body composition goals. Zoning out on the treadmill won’t cut it I’m sorry to say. Cheer up! I am going to share with you movements that actually work and pay off for your efforts!
So what kinds of exercise movements will deliver the best physical dividends and prime you for success? An Ideal fitness program should contain movement variations that we as a species were literally designed to perform which enable us to flourish on this wonderful planet of ours.
Movements That Pay Huge Physical Dividends:
SQUAT – Kettlebell Goblet Squat, Sandbag Front Squat
HINGE (hip movement) Kettlebell Swing
PRESS and PUSH – Overhead Kettlebell Press and The Classic Push Up
PULL – Sandbag Row, Sandbag Clean
MOBILITY – Stick Drills, Lying Hip Raises
MULTI-PLANE – Kettlebell Get Up, Sandbag Rotational Lunge
WEIGHTED CARRIES – Kettlebell Rack Carry, Sandbag Overhead Carry
CRAWLS – Bear Crawl
While I have included sample exercises next to each movement this is by no means an absolute or exhaustive list. But I have yet to see anybody not see a vast improvement in their fitness when they include these movements into their program if you measure good fitness as achieving a lean, tight, strong and movement- rich body.

Practice these movements in a safe and sane manner along with sound eating habits and a funny thing will happen- you will start to get lean, strong, tight, move better and pain-free and will look awesome in a bikini or swim trunks!

I guarantee that by performing these foundational movements in conjunction with a safe, sustainable and sound exercise program, you will position yourself to lead a fulfilling life of strong, pain free movement and active longevity. We only go around once on this planet and have a limited amount of hours to exist, so we might as well pursue methods that don’t waste our time that actually work and produce results so we can get out and enjoy life without spending countless hours in the gym.
So if you are not performing these movements or you need to adopt some of them to plug the leaks in your existing program then give them a try – your body will thank you for it!
