I named my site after the most famous seven stars gracing the heavens – The Big Dipper. Why? I could just say I think it just looks and sounds cool and end it there, but that would be an incomplete explanation.
Throughout the history of man, the seven stars which form the Big Dipper have given cultures a sense of lasting permanency and comfort with which to literally guide them through troubled times whenever they needed a reliable and sound navigational aid.
Many myths and stories have been attributed to these seven stars, but I like the Chinese belief that the god of longevity resides in a palace within the Big Dipper.
All the content I share with you is designed to navigate you through a confusing and overly complicated fitness industry using sound, reliable and time tested methods to help you attain a quality life of vitality and longevity. It seems like everybody in this industry is rabidly tripping over themselves to constantly re-invent the wheel as it applies to health and fitness methods and best practices which creates way too much confusion and paralyzes people into taking no action due to the glut of crazy variety, choices and dubious calls to massive supplementation. I think the basic design of the health and fitness wheel is just fine and if people just followed the basics of movement, nutrition, and recovery practices we would be successful. I am not concerned with re-inventing the fitness wheel, but merely fine tuning and tweaking the tread around the fitness wheel with my methods. There is a difference. I won’t ignore timeless health and fitness methods and get caught up in chasing variety for variety’s sake.
Getting Fit and Healthy sure has gotten complicated! There are so many exercises, programs, diets, theories, gadgets, gimmicks and over- engineered devices out there that you could choke a horse, confuse a team of Harvard professors and exile most people into eternal analysis paralysis figuring out where to start and how to keep progressing.

I don’t waste my time performing or teaching exercises that have no transference to directly improving your everyday activities, accelerating you to your ideal body composition or improving your quality of life.
However, If you are not concerned about results and adopting sound and sustainable fitness strategies that will serve you well throughout your lifetime, you have many popular alternative options out there to try.
There are plenty of Hollywood- Type Fitness Phonies out there willing to dazzle you with their hype and inept circus-like movements directing you to showboat and jump around your living room with no rhyme or reason promising you incredible results. All this as they pick your pocket delivering plenty of frustration, but marginal and fleeting results at best. So beware of those flashy 2:00 AM fitness infomercials and seedy, dishonest fitness gurus who think fitness is having you dance around with weights and gadgets in your hands with no thought to quality fitness programming or proper movement.

My own fitness philosophy is to be “Just Fit Enough” to be able to pursue the activities you enjoy doing and performing your everyday tasks with strength, confidence, pain- free movement and ever present vitality.
We only have so many hours to spend on this wonderful planet, so I design, teach, advocate, and pursue fitness programs that provide Maximum Fitness, can be performed in Minimal Time and produce Stellar Results leading to a life of active vitality and longevity.
Life is about people, the relationships you cultivate and the activities you enjoy pursuing. I would rather spend my time with family and friends enjoying these activities while being optimally fit without wasting my time haunting gyms for countless marathon sessions following the fitness herd accomplishing nothing. I have figured out how to maintain this balance through trial and error (more errors than I care to count), years of progressive experience and simply surrounding myself with quality people while getting rid of all the toxic people in my life who are eternal drains on my well being.
My fitness perspective is honed through the lens of someone who has “been around the block” in the fitness universe, yet I will always remain an open minded student of physical culture always striving to enhance the effectiveness of my training methods while keeping things fresh, fun and progressive.
All of my workouts are not for everybody since we all have different fitness goals and I don‘t waste my time convincing people otherwise. I do pride myself on being a result and product of the advice I share with you regarding fitness and health.
